Prayer Ministry

The Chaplains of Spiritual Health Services at Heartland Health welcome patients, family, friends and employees to participate in a weekly prayer service, held each Wednesday in the Chapel at Heartland Regional Medical Center (HRMC).

Service Time
Services are held each Wednesday at noon - 12:15 p.m. in the chapel at HRMC. The chapel is located on the main floor of HRMC directly across from the surgical waiting room.

Prayer Requests
If you would like to make a prayer request for a patient, friend, or family member, you may e-mail your request to PrayerMinistry or call (816) 271-4005. You may write a prayer request on a prayer request card in the chapel and place it in the basket.

Physician/Chaplain prayer partnership
Physicians may request a chaplain to be their prayer partner. When a chaplain becomes a physician's prayer partner, the chaplain prays daily for the physician and his/her patients. The physician may choose to engage a more interpersonal relationship with a chaplain when they choose. A physician may request a chaplain prayer partner by contacting Sally Schwab, Team Leader of Spiritual Health Services at (816) 271-6040.

Congregation/HRMC Prayer Partnership
Congregations may adopt areas of the hospital to pray for patients and staff on a daily basis. To adopt an area, please contact Spiritual Health Services at (816) 271-6040.
