Funding your health-care career
Stepping Stones is here to help!
Heartland Health’s Stepping Stones is an academic workforce development program designed to provide support to individuals who have been accepted into one of several in–demand health–care careers (see inset for current listing).
Stepping Stones participants agree to a work commitment at Heartland following their graduation. The work commitment is one year for each full or partial year of financial assistance they receive. Participants gain valuable experience working in a hospital with a reputation for excellence while Heartland gets great new employees.
Here are the facts ...
- Prior to applying for assistance, individuals must be accepted into an accredited program for the careers listed in the inset.
- Funding is based on the cost of the programs offered locally.
- Available funding depends on Heartland’s projected need for positions in a particular career field.
- Enrollment in Stepping Stones is subject to the applicant entering into and complying with the terms of a written contract with Heartland.
