Heartland Regional Medical Center (HRMC) has been named one of the nation’s top performers on key quality measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health–care organizations in America. HRMC was recognized by The Joint Commission based on hospitals that are shown to improve care for certain conditions, including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, surgical care and children’s asthma.
HRMC is one of only 405 U.S. hospitals and critical access hospitals earning the distinction of top performer. To be recognized as a top performer on key quality measures, an organization must achieve two 95 percent performance levels – one is the total of measures we report to The Joint Commission and the second is based on each individual measure.
HRMC was recognized for outstanding quality measures in:
- Heart Attack
- Heart Failure
- Pneumonia
- Surgical Care
“We understand what matters most to patients at HRMC — providing the best and safest care. We are proud to be named as one of The Joint Commission’s Top Performers on Key Quality Measures,” says Heartland Health President and CEO Mark Laney, MD.
